Job Description: Motus Autoworx, a dynamic leader in the vehicle repair industry is looking, is inviting applications from honest, trustworthy, and highly responsible candidates with relevant experience to apply for the position of General Worker at our Cape Town Airport Mag Repair branch.

Position Overview: The purpose of the position is to provide general workshop support in the wheel rim repair shop by safely handling rims and tyres, assisting with the removal and replacement of rims and tyres, and maintaining a clean and organised work area.

Minimum Experience:

• Advantageous: Previous experience in a workshop, tyre fitment, wheel repair, or similar environment.

Minimum Qualification:

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license
• Computer literacy – basic level sufficient
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, at the required workplace standard.

Job Outputs:

• Assist with removing rims and tyres from vehicles as required.
• Assist with replacing and fitting rims and tyres after repair work has been completed.
• Carry and move rims, tyres, and hubcaps safely between the relevant work areas.
• Position rims and hubcaps at the designated repair and spray stations as instructed.
• Clean the workstations and surrounding areas where rims and hubcaps are repaired, prepared, and sprayed.
• Keep the wheel rim repair shop clean, tidy, and free from unnecessary hazards and obstructions.
• Handle rims, tyres, hubcaps, tools, and equipment carefully to prevent damage.

• Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks within required timeframes.

Working Conditions:

• Workshop-based role in a wheel rim repair environment, with exposure to dust, paint fumes, chemicals, noise, and workshop equipment (appropriate PPE provided).
• May require overtime, weekend work, or shift work depending on operational needs.
• Physically demanding role requiring frequent standing, bending, lifting, carrying, and moving rims and tyres.
