SUMMARY: Our client in the Manufacturing Industry is seeking to employ a General Worker with Tiling and Painting experience to join their team. Please note that this is a fixed-term contract.

Location: Benoni, Gauteng

POSITION INFO: Efficiency Staffing Solutions (Pty) Ltd Registration No. 2022\/876857\/07 Duties & Responsibilities Painter: Execute pre-painting activities, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and masking of adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, texturing, etc. if required Follow management's instructions in maintaining an inventory of paint and supplies Assist in storing leftover paint in the appropriate locations Support team with special maintenance projects as needed Responsible for painting the exterior and interior areas of a company's projects Tiler: Interpret drawings and specifications to plan layouts, patterns and materials needed. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, repairing or installing backer boards and membranes. Measure and mark areas to estimate tile quantities and ensure accurate layout. Cut and shape tiles using wet saws, grinders, and hand tools. Apply adhesives and set tiles with proper spacing, alignment, and levelling Grout, seal, and finish tile surfaces to a high standard. Maintain tools and job‑site safety, including PPE use and clean work areas. General Worker: Manual labour and maintenance, perform physical tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying heavy objects and maintaining tools and equipment Operating Machinery and equipment: Operate basic machinery and equipment. Quality control inspection: Inspect materials, products and equipment for damages\/defects and report to supervisors. Ensure safety standards and procedures are followed Experience & Qualification National Senior Certificate or equivalent Painting and Tiling course certificates Previous experience with painting Previous experience in tiling Communication skills Ability to follow instructions Teamwork skills Time management skills Tile cutting and shaping Adhesive and mortar mixing\/application Waterproofing installation Grouting and sealing Reading blueprints and technical drawings Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour Strong knowledge of general labour principles and safety regulations Additional Information Only applicants who meet the requirements outlined above will be considered.
