Job description
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated General Worker to join our team at our Diep River store.
The successful candidate must be available to start immediately.
Must live within 5km of Diep River Cape Town.
Main Duties:
● Cleaning and maintaining the store
● Loading and unloading deliveries
● Packing and merchandising stock and displays
● Assisting sales staff with picking stock
● Keeping the store and stock areas organised
● Assisting customers
● Making junior-level sales when sales staff are unavailable
● General store duties and assisting the team where required
Requirements:
● Basic plumbing, electrical and hardware knowledge
● Available to start immediately
● Reliable and punctual
● Hardworking with a good attitude
● Good communication and customer service skills
● Able to work well as part of a team
● Willing to learn and take initiative
● Previous hardware, plumbing, electrical or retail experience will be an advantage
Salary:
Starting salary: R6,000 per month
Salary has the potential to increase based on performance, reliability and contribution to the business.
Employment:
● 3-month probation period
● Successful candidate will move onto a full-time contract after probation
