Job description

General Worker / Mover Assistant – Ad Hoc

D & J Logistics (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced General Worker / Mover Assistant to assist with residential and office relocations on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in moving, removals, logistics, warehousing, or a similar role.
Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry furniture and household/office items.
Reliable, punctual, hardworking and professional.
Able to work well as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Must take care when handling customers’ belongings.
Valid driver’s licence would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Must reside in or around Stellenbosch or Kuils River.
Must be available for ad hoc/short-notice work, depending on bookings.

Duties

Loading and unloading furniture and other items.
Assisting with packing, wrapping and securing goods.
Moving household and office furniture safely.
Assisting the driver and moving team during relocations.
Loading and securing items in trucks.
Protecting customers’ property and ensuring items are handled with care.
Assisting with general moving and logistics duties as required.
