General Worker -Plumbing

Afrirent Holdings is looking for a hardworking and dedicated General Worker who will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of Afrirent’s facilities and physical infrastructure and ensure that the workplace environment is safe, efficient and functional for all employees. The role involves implementing all onsite technical and maintenance-related activities, completing all related administrative and maintenance paperwork, providing feedback and information to the Manager and coordinating the onsite activities and completion of paperwork by service-providers / contractors

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and as well as preventative and planned maintenance activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor that Afrirent’s building and facilities are in good working order.
• Provide timeous updates on the progress of maintenance-related calls logged to the Group OHS, Security and Facilities Manager.
• Work closely with maintenance-related service providers and contractors (Electricians, Carpenters etc) to ensure adherence to Afrirent’s quality, safety and contractual requirements and standards.
• Clean and maintain work areas, including machinery and tools, to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct all installations, repairs and maintenance in accordance with OHS specifications and requirements.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Comply with building and maintenance-related regulations.
• Implement effective housekeeping standards of the maintenance storeroom.

Minimum Requirements & Experience

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• 0–6 months in General Maintenance experience.

Advantageous

• NQF 4 in Plumbing.
• 1 year in Plumbing experience with general maintenance skills.

Pay: From R7 285,00 per month
