General Worker: Pre-Mix

Job Purpose To pack various products in accordance to set specifications to enable packing department to operate uninterrupted 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow the SOP's procedures.
• Receiving raw materials accurately from Suppliers.
• Follow FIFO protocols when pulling raw materials for batches.
• Pulls, weighs, and returns raw materials needed to produce batches.
• Verifies raw materials being weighed against official blending record.
• Records all pertinent raw material information on official blending record for traceability.
• Maintains accurate batch records required for Food Safety.
• Notifies appropriate management of documentation discrepancies.
• Reports all quality related issues.
• Responsible daily scale verification.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain quality, and safety standards.
• Stacking and wrapping final products batches on pallets
• Housekeeping of the area – Clean as you go.

Experience And Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years FMCG industry experience
• Matric / Grade 12

Skills and Competencies

• Effectively operates and maintains scales and various other equipment.
• Understanding of production process
• Quality management principles
• Accuracy / Attention to deal: Proficient in converting units to calculate batch requirements.
• Extreme attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Numerical ability

Working Conditions

• Working in a factory environment – hot, noisy and dust
• Required to work shift, overtime and unusual working hours (weekends and public holidays)
