Job Advert Summary

As a General Worker: Quality Control, you will play an integral part in bolstering our warehouse operations by engaging in tasks like receiving and dispatching shipments, as well as quality control i.e. checking of stock, performing daily stock & cycle counts and conducting essential quality checks on our products. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment, we encourage you to apply.

Minimum Requirements

Previous experience in quality control, stock counting and inventory control is essential
Strong attention to detail when handling inventory & recording information
The ability to follow instructions accurately
Basic reading, writing, and verbal skills to report errors or damaged/defective products to the supervisor/manager
Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve manual labour
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members
Basic organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly work area
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure
Must be able to count

Duties and Responsibilities

Loading and unloading delivery trucks
Sorting and stacking inventory
Picking and packing orders
Unpacking incoming shipments and checking them for damage
Ensure the correct items match the delivery note
Move goods to specific racks or bins
Fetch products from shelves for outgoing orders (picking) and place them into secure boxes (packing)
Load prepared pallets and parcels onto transport vehicles
Stock taking
Housekeeping and adhere to safety protocols
Check / inspect incoming and outgoing stock for quality, damage, and accuracy
Report damaged, defective, or incorrect items to the supervisor/manager
Ensure products meet company quality standards before dispatch
Perform daily stock counts and cycle counts
Assist with stock takes and inventory audits
Verify quantities received against delivery notes and system records
Report stock discrepancies and shortages
Complete receiving QC count sheets against physical stock received and supplier documents
