German Speaking Customer Advisor

Position: German-Speaking E-Commerce Client Specialist

Location: On-site (Umhlanga, Durban)

Contract & Schedule: Full-time across a continuous 24/7 rotational schedule (5 working days, 8-hour daily shifts)

Position Summary

We are hiring client-focused German speakers to deliver outstanding customer care on behalf of a leading global e-commerce retail brand. Operating directly from our Umhlanga office, you will act as the key point of contact for shoppers, assisting with order tracking, shipping updates, payment processing, and product inquiries. This position offers a great entry point for driven individuals aiming to grow their careers within the BPO and retail sectors.

Core Responsibilities

• Omnichannel Communication: Manage client requests across telephone, live chat, and email channels in both German and English.
• Order Resolution: Assist shoppers with shipment tracking, product return requests, and delivery troubleshooting.
• Issue Escalation: Resolve customer complaints constructively using active listening, patience, and a problem-solving approach.
• Product Knowledge: Stay updated on product catalogs and shop policies to provide reliable customer guidance.
• System Documentation: Record accurate logs of all client interactions within internal CRM platforms.
• Performance Metrics: Meet target performance standards, prioritizing Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) and quality scores.

Candidate Profile

• Language Capabilities: Fluent or minimum B2-level proficiency in German (oral and written), along with strong business English capabilities.
• Education: Minimum high school diploma (Matric equivalent).
• Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work variable rotational shifts, including evening hours, night shifts, weekends, and statutory holidays.
• Technical Adaptability: Strong computer literacy with the ability to navigate multiple software tools simultaneously.
• Experience & Mindset: Customer service or BPO background is helpful but not required (full paid training provided); resilient, empathetic, and solution-driven attitude.
