Google Cloud Support Technician - Shifts

The main purpose of this position is to assist with lower impact technical work on the cloud platform itself, overseen by the Cloud Support and Implementation Engineers.

The Cloud Support Technician role centers on operational monitoring, infrastructure maintenance, and technical incident response. Working 12-hour rotational shifts, the technician is responsible for performing daily health and application checks, verifying cloud backup integrity, managing scheduled Windows VM updates, and generating regular SLA and downtime reports. They conduct initial troubleshooting for alerts from monitoring tools like GCP and Uptime Kuma, escalating complex technical issues to higher-tier engineers while documenting root cause analyses to ensure overall system reliability and performance.

Beyond technical operations, the position encompasses financial administration, cross-functional support, and strict compliance enforcement. The technician assists sales teams by processing cloud pricing requests, preparing Hardware Configuration Proposals (HCP), and delivering usage and expense reports across subsidiaries. Additionally, the role demands rigorous adherence to corporate administrative standards, accurate time tracking, and robust information security protocols—including least-privilege practices, patch management, data privacy, and alignment with ISO 27001:2022 and GDPR frameworks.
