Grade B Operator

The manufacturing plant in Port Elizabeth produces both small and large volume parenterals.

The main purpose of the Grade B Operator is to support cleanroom operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the cleaning of the filling room and general area, according to procedure.
• Responsible for component availability to ensure operations.
• Responsible for pre-filling sanitization of area and equipment, according to procedure.
• Assist in setup of machine for particular product and format.
• Assist in change overs to different types of products and formats
• Verify machine consumables meet specific batch requirements and are acceptable to run through machine. Immediately report any anomalies noticed to process leader.
• Staging of material for production
• Loading and unloading of ampoules/vials
• Send out samples for IPC checks
• Perform environmental sampling as and when required or requested.
• Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedure rules and regulations relevant to the process activity.
• Carry out any necessary documentation as per the Standard Operating Procedure (process records, etc.).
• Immediately report and engage with technician on advanced mechanical, electrical or automation failures. Participate in correction.
• Train identified personnel on all related items relevant to operation and maintenance of the equipment.
• Ensure daily target is met
• From time to time carry out other jobs within the department / factory, which are consistent with the grade, qualification and training of the incumbent.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Grade 12.
• Computer Literate.
• Technical qualification preferred/beneficial.
• Gowning competence
• 2-3 years in a production environment, preferably Pharmaceutical / FMCG.
