Graduate Data Analyst (Ai and Analytics)

Job Purpose

Bidvest International Logistics (BIL) would like to invite you to apply for our Graduate Programme. We are seeking a Graduate that has studied in the following fields: Bachelor's Degree, BSc, BCom, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in: Computer Science, Software Development, Computer Engineering related IT qualification.

This program will be based within the Information Systems Department and will be focusing on Data Analysis.

BIL's adoption of Ai-enabled analytics and automation by utilizing Microsoft Copilot and approved technologies to enhance reporting efficiency, productivity and business insight generation.

Support business decision-making through the collection, analysis, validation, and presentation of data. Assist in the development of reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, and related Microsoft technologies while developing practical expertise in modern analytics, Ai and automation.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric)

• Bachelor's Degree, BSc, BCom, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in: (Computer Science,Software Development,Computer Engineering related IT qualification)

• Recent graduate or final-year student

• Good academic performance will be advantageous

• Relevant Microsoft or technology-related certifications will be advantageous

Experience

• Basic understanding of SQL, including SELECT statements, joins, filtering, aggregations, and query troubleshooting

• Understanding of reporting, analytics, and data interpretation concepts

• Exposure to Microsoft Power Bi

• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric will be advantageous

• Demonstrated interest in AI, automation, and data-driven problem solving

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 productivity tools, including Microsoft Copilot

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and validate scheduled Power Bi report refreshes

• Assist in the administration, maintenance, and monitoring of Microsoft Fabric workspaces, semantic models, dataflows, and data pipelines

• Support the testing and validation of datasets, semantic models, reports and dataflows

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and analytical outputs

• Assist users with report navigation, interpretation, and adoption of self-service analytics solutions

• Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and actionable insights

• Develop effective prompts for Microsoft Copilot to support reporting, analysis, documentation, troubleshooting and research activities

• Utilise Microsoft Copilot and approved AI tools to improve productivity and accelerate analytical activities

• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive reporting and data preparation processes

• Utilise Microsoft Copilot and approved AI tools to improve productivity and analytical outcomes
