Job description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design of electrical distribution systems and instrumentation and control systems on industrial plants, mostly in the mining and mineral processing sector. Project management, client relations, supplier relations, quality assurance and related engineering tasks will also form part of the candidates portfolio.
The candidate will form part of a team of experienced electrical PrEng and technicians working on a variety of projects and equipment. Typical equipment worked on will include all of the E&I equipment on cranes, crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, induction furnaces, agitators, valves and all associated plant equipment.
The ideal candidate will be able to engage in a wide variety of tasks and enjoy gaining experience in multiple areas and project phases.
The candidate should be comfortable working in high pressure and fast paced environments when project deadlines are approaching.
Remote site work will be required from time to time, typically involving: facility assessments, plant construction and commissioning supervision, in the role of supervisor or site manager.
Responsibilities :
Engineering design decisions and documenting thereof
Physical field work as required
Drafting reviews, redlining, occasional drafting
Project and key client management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Skills:
Strong problem solving, technical, math and science skills
Comfortable with first principles
Strong written and verbal communication
Strong MS Word and Excel proficiency
AutoCAD proficiency will be an advantage
Prospects for Growth:
