Buying & Production Planning | Benoni, Gauteng | FMCG Manufacturing

We are looking for bright, driven young graduates to strengthen our Buying and Production Planning teams. This is an opportunity to build a career in FMCG manufacturing while gaining practical exposure to procurement, production planning, inventory, suppliers and the wider supply chain.

The Opportunity

Successful candidates will work in a fast-moving manufacturing environment where good planning and buying directly affect production output, stock availability, service levels and working capital. You will learn how commercial demand is translated into materials, production plans, purchase orders and finished product availability.

• Chemical, Mechanical or related Engineering disciplines

What We Are Looking For

• Strong numerical and analytical ability - comfortable working with data, quantities, trends and basic statistics.
• Excellent attention to detail - accuracy matters in purchase orders, stock, dates, quantities and planning data.
• Logical problem-solving - able to investigate shortages, excess stock, supplier issues and production constraints.
• Planning and organisation - able to prioritise, follow through and think several weeks ahead.
• Communication - confident working with suppliers, Production, Warehouse, Sales, Finance and other teams.
• Ownership and urgency - takes responsibility for resolving issues rather than simply escalating them.
• Integrity and accountability - essential in roles with direct exposure to purchasing, inventory and business controls.
• Curiosity and learning agility - asks good questions and wants to understand how the entire supply chain works.

Systems & Digital Capability

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are highly desirable.
• Exposure to SYSPRO or another ERP system will be an advantage.
• Exposure to Power BI, TransLution or similar
• ta / operations systems will be an advantage.
• Candidates should be comfortable learning new systems and using data to support decisions.
