GRAPHIC DESIGNER (BOOK COVERS + BRAND + MARKETING VISUALS)

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and reliable Graphic Designer to produce high-quality visual content on a part-time, structured monthly basis.

This role focuses on book covers, brand consistency, website visuals and marketing design assets.

⏱ Work Schedule

• Part-time role: approximately 25 hours per week
• Remote position (South Africa-based preferred)
• Flexible working hours, based on monthly deadlines and deliverables
• Monthly batch-based design workflow

Monthly Work Structure

Each month, the designer will be responsible for:

Book Design

• Up to 10 book cover designs per month( 3D)
• Ensure consistency across all book covers
• Prepare print-ready and digital-ready files

Marketing & Social Media Design

• Up to 40 total designs per month, including:
• Quote posts (book quotes, author quotes)
• Promotional book posts
• Announcement graphics
• Campaign visuals and launches

Brand Consistency

• Maintain and apply existing brand guidelines across all designs
• Ensure consistency across all Bethel Publishing House materials
• Support a modern and professional publishing identity

MEDIA KITS & BRAND ASSETS

• Create media kits for books and authors
• Design press-ready promotional visuals
• Develop reusable templates for campaigns and promotions

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in graphic design (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Able to manage consistent monthly design workloads
• Creative but disciplined with brand guidelines
• Detail-oriented and organised
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience in book design or publishing visuals is an advantage

Key Requirements

• Proven graphic design experience (portfolio required)
• Ability to manage monthly batch assignments
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Own laptop and reliable internet connection
• Ability to work remotely

Compensation

• Monthly payment: R8,000 – R10,000 per month
• Based on:
• experience level
• quality of portfolio
• ability to handle full monthly workload (25 hours/week)
• Payment is fixed monthly for completed monthly design batches
