Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Group Accountant role based in Bryanston. The Group Accountant will oversee daily financial operations, including preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashbook, and journals.
• Credit and debtor management
• Experience within a group company environment, including consolidations and intercompany transactions
• Experience with VAT, PAYE, Provisional Tax and Income Tax
• Understanding of Annual Financial Statements, with the ability to assist the Financial Manager with AFS working papers
• A sound understanding of the full finance function
• Commercial finance experience

Requirements

• Proficiency in accounting practices, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
• Experience with payroll processing, tax preparation, and compliance.
• Knowledge of accounting and payroll software and financial tools such as Xero, Pay Space, Simple Play, Caseware, EasyFile
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2-3 years’ experience in an Accountant or similar role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and relevant tax legislation

Pay: R18 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
