Group Accounts Receivable / Debtors Controller

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE / DEBTORS CONTROLLER

A well-established market and industry leader in the Industrial Engineering & Steelworks / Crane Hire Industries, requires the services of a retired / semi-retired competent and self-motivated Accounts Receivable / Debtors Controller.

Minimum Requirements:

1) Certificate/Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping.

2) Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in all accounting functions.

3) Previous working experience on SYSPRO advantageous.

4) Excellent time management and organisational skills.

5) Self-Motivated, meticulous, and deadline driven.

6) Must demonstrate the ability to handle large volumes of data, information, projects and tasks

at any given time and still be able to deliver quality work on time.

7) Computer Literate in all MS Packages.

Core Competencies:

Invoicing for group of companies;

Collection of outstanding monies;

Payment allocation on all debtor accounts;

General financial administration as required;

OPERATIONS

Kardex Report Maintenance

a) Cross reference invoices with movement books;

b) Obtain timesheets from Operations Department to update Kardex report ;

c) Utilise movement books to ensure invoicing is completed up to date;

d) Maintain a list of timesheets from Operations Department to ensure that all timesheets are accounted for;

e) Follow up with Operations or Despatch Supervisor on any queries relating to timesheets.

DEBTORS

a) Check daily banking with Financial Accountant to update age analysis

b) Self-review of Stellval Operations invoices when generated before submitting to Operations for final sign off

c) Final invoicing – based on approved previews and sign off

d) Copy all POD + timesheets for Kardex filing

e) Scanning of POD documents and submission to clients with final invoice(s)

f) Proforma invoicing for upfront and COD clients for Stellval Operations

g) Update Operations team on payment status for upfront and COD clients

h) Receipt of Union Steel Contracts certificates and claims for invoicing

i) Self-review of Contracts invoicing when generated before submitting to Contracts Manager for final sign off

j) Final invoicing of Union Steel contract claims

k) Obtain updated rent roster from Financial Accountant on a monthly basis, generate and preview rental invoices for all property companies within the Group

l) Obtain Municipal invoices from Receptionist / Creditors Controller and update utilities calculation spreadsheet per tenant

m) Generate and preview utilities invoices for all property tenants within the Group

n) Follow up on outstanding debt collections for Union Steel Group entities

o) Ensure Debtors filing is always up to date
