Group Finance Manager

Salary: R50,000 per month
Location: Foreshore, Cape Town
Working hours: UK hours
Working arrangement: Office-based – no remote or hybrid working available

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function across a UK-focused business.

This is a hands-on finance management role covering management accounts, cash flow, reconciliations, reporting and the wider finance processes. You'll work closely with UK-based colleagues, accountants and advisers and will also oversee an Accounts Assistant.

What you'll be doing

• Managing the day-to-day finance function
• Managing cash flow and maintaining the daily cash position
• Preparing cash flow forecasts
• Completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing month-end and management accounts
• Overseeing accounts payable and receivable
• Supporting credit control and payroll processes
• Monitoring project margins and WIP
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting
• Preparing financial reporting and management information
• Managing intercompany accounting
• Supporting audit and year-end requirements
• Working with UK accountants and tax advisers
• Maintaining accurate financial records and controls
• Supporting and overseeing the Accounts Assistant

What we're looking for

• 5–10 years' experience in finance
• Strong management accounting experience
• Experience owning cash flow and reconciliations
• Experience supervising or managing finance processes or a small team
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with SAGE is essential
• Power BI experience would be beneficial
• Strong written and spoken English
• Good understanding of financial controls and processes
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership

Experience in an SME, professional services, project-based or international/shared-services environment would be beneficial.

This is a hands-on Finance Manager position rather than a purely strategic or statutory role. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable getting into the detail while also providing reliable financial oversight.

This role is based in the GOTO Group office in Foreshore, Cape Town and requires UK working hours. There is no remote or hybrid working available.

Pay: Up to R50 000,00 per month

• Managing month-end processes: 3 years (Required)

• SAGE accounting software: 2 years (Required)
