About us Pickle is a talent partner for fast-growing businesses. We help ambitious founders and leadership teams hire exceptional people across operations, product, technology, customer success, commercial, finance, and executive leadership.

We specialise in identifying high-quality permanent and contractor talent that can make an immediate impact, supporting businesses through key growth stages with a thoughtful, consultative approach to hiring. Whether it's a critical leadership appointment or building out an entire function, we work as an extension of our clients' teams to find people who combine the right skills, mindset, and cultural fit.

About our client and the roleLocation: Remote first

Contract: FTC 14-month Contract, Full-time hours

The Opportunity We’re looking for a Growth & Campaign Manager to join a fast-growing, purpose-led technology business that is building products designed to help people make positive financial decisions and increase participation in charitable giving.

This is a hands-on role sitting between product, growth and marketing. You’ll design and run campaigns that acquire, activate and re-engage users, with a significant proportion of that work originating within the product itself.

You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering and Growth to build campaigns across seasonal peaks and year-round products, taking ownership from initial idea through to launch, optimisation and analysis.

This is not a pure channel-marketing role and not a pure product role. We’re looking for someone who understands the complete user journey — from product experience, through acquisition channels, and back into the product — and can build campaigns across that entire journey.

What You’ll OwnCampaign Strategy & Execution

  • Own end-to-end delivery of key seasonal and high-volume campaigns, from planning and build through to launch, optimisation and post-campaign analysis.
  • Develop campaigns designed to acquire, activate, retain and re-engage users.
  • Translate campaign ideas into clear requirements, priorities and measurable outcomes.

Product-Led Campaigns

  • Design and launch campaigns that live within the product, including prompts, user journeys, sharing, referral and gifting mechanics.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to define requirements and take campaigns through to release.
  • Identify opportunities within the product to drive acquisition, engagement and repeat behaviour.

User & Community Campaigns

  • Develop mechanics that enable users to create, share and participate in their own campaigns.
  • Find ways to increase participation and engagement through community-led activity.

Channel Execution

  • Manage the external campaign ecosystem across paid social, email, SMS, push, organic and website activity.
  • Ensure external channels work as part of an integrated product-led journey rather than operating in isolation.
  • Identify opportunities across social and digital channels to drive users into the product.

Lifecycle & Retention

  • Build behavioural segmentation and lifecycle journeys that move users from one-off or occasion-led activity towards repeat engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve retention, repeat usage and long-term customer value.

Experimentation & Optimisation

  • Develop clear campaign hypotheses and define success criteria upfront.
  • Run rapid experiments and use the results to make clear decisions about what to continue, change or stop.
  • Continuously test messaging, journeys, mechanics and channels.

Measurement & Analytics

  • Work directly with funnels, cohorts and campaign data to understand performance.
  • Establish clear baselines and measure campaigns against meaningful commercial and user outcomes.
  • Turn data into practical recommendations and decisions rather than simply reporting numbers.

What Success Looks Like* Key seasonal campaigns are delivered on time and their performance is clearly measured against previous activity or agreed benchmarks.

  • New product-led campaign mechanics are launched, tested and measured.
  • There is a consistent cadence of experimentation, with clear decisions coming from each test.
  • Repeat engagement improves across identified user cohorts.
  • Product and Engineering have clear campaign requirements, priorities and success metrics.
  • Campaign activity demonstrably contributes to acquisition, activation, retention or re-engagement.

Requirements

About You You’ll ideally have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in growth, campaign or digital marketing, ideally within consumer technology, fintech, SaaS or another fast-moving product environment.
  • Experience running campaigns that sit within a digital product, rather than simply directing users towards one.
  • Experience with product-led growth mechanics such as in-product prompts, referrals, sharing, gifting, onboarding or lifecycle journeys.
  • The ability to work confidently with Product and Engineering teams and see ideas through from concept to release.
  • A track record of experimentation where you can clearly explain the baseline, what you changed and what happened as a result.
  • Confidence working with funnels, cohorts and behavioural data without relying entirely on an analyst.
  • Experience delivering high-volume consumer campaigns, ideally where activity is influenced by seasonal or occasion-led demand.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write and edit conversion-focused copy.
  • A highly practical, hands-on approach — you’re comfortable getting into the detail and making things happen.

Desirable, but not essential: experience in fintech, technology for good, charitable giving, subscriptions, donor engagement or another mission-led consumer product.

Tools & Analytics Experience with platforms such as:

  • Mixpanel
  • Amplitude
  • PostHog
  • GA4
  • Customer.io
  • Braze
  • Metabase

Equivalent tools and demonstrable analytical capability are equally relevant.

Basic SQL or similar analytical capability would be advantageous.

Working Relationships You’ll report into the Head of Product and work closely with Product, Growth, Engineering, Commercial and Content teams.

This is a manager-level individual contributor role, with no direct reports initially.

Working Environment This is a remote-first, purpose-led business with a small, highly autonomous team.

Things move quickly. Priorities can change, information isn’t always complete and there will be periods where the pace is demanding. You’ll have significant ownership and autonomy, alongside clear accountability for outcomes.

You’ll need to be comfortable with:

  • Ambiguity: making sensible decisions with incomplete information.
  • Prioritisation: making clear trade-offs when multiple priorities are competing.
  • Change: adapting quickly without losing sight of the end goal.
  • Setbacks: responding constructively when something doesn’t work and moving forward.
  • Feedback: listening, challenging constructively and changing direction when the evidence supports it.
  • Accountability: surfacing risks and blockers early and taking ownership of outcomes.

We don’t expect everything to go perfectly. We do expect people to respond with calm, constructive effectiveness when it doesn’t.

Benefits

Recruitment Process* Recruiter screening

  • Culture Survey
  • Virtual interview with the hiring manager
  • Technical & competency interview
  • Final team interview

Diversity & Inclusion Pickle People recognises the benefits of a diverse workforce and strives to be an inclusive organisation. We are committed to treating everyone with dignity and respect regardless
