WE'RE HIRING. 5 x GSOC Analysts
Weekend Contract | Johannesburg (On-site)*
Introduction to Our Company
Southern Africa Safety and Security Solutions (Pty) Ltd, trading as S.A.S Solutions, is a PSIRA-registered security services provider. We place vetted, trained personnel with our clients and handle HR, background verification, payroll and statutory compliance, so the people on our teams are fully supported from day one.
We are currently supporting a global client with their Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC), protecting employees, travellers and assets worldwide. We are expanding our team and recruiting *5 GSOC Analysts* for a 3-month weekend contract.
The Role
You will provide round-the-clock monitoring and incident response in a fast-paced GSOC environment.
Contract Details
- Positions: 5
- Duration: 16 October 2026 (08h00) to 11 January 2027 (08h00) - 3 months
- Possibility to exstend contract to 1 year
- Hours: Weekends only - Friday 08h00 to Monday 08h00 (72 hrs/week, 3 x 8-hour shifts per day)
- Location: On-site at client office, Johannesburg. No remote work.
- Must be available for full pattern including public holidays on covered weekends.
What you will do
- Monitor intelligence platforms, news, social media and alert systems
- Assess credibility and relevance of threats and escalate per protocol
- Triage GSOC hotline and trigger mass-communication alerts
- Conduct welfare checks and coordinate complex incidents with partner ops centres
- Maintain incident logs, shift handovers and post-incident reports
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in security, international relations, political science, emergency management, journalism, law or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years in security ops, intelligence/OSINT, emergency management, customer/case management or travel security
- Excellent written English, confident verbal communication
- Able to multitask, stay calm and accurate under pressure
- Comfortable learning new software platforms
Advantageous:
- Prior GSOC / travel security / managed security services experience
- Familiar with Crisis24 Horizon, AlertMedia, Everbridge or similar
- OSINT monitoring skills; ASIS CPP/PSP/APP or emergency management certification
- Additional languages: Hindi, Tamil, French, Arabic or Mandarin
Pay:
- Induction Training: R6 000 per candidate for 5 compulsory after-hours online sessions (starting 5 Oct 2026)
- Contract Shifts: R1 800 per 8-hour shift
Available is Essential.
