The Bay Hotel is looking for a creative, highly organised and detail-driven Guest Experience & Lifestyle Curator to join our Operations team in Camps Bay.
This is a hands-on hospitality role for someone who notices the details others miss. You’ll help shape how our guest-facing spaces look and feel, create memorable guest moments and ensure the finer details are consistently delivered throughout the hotel.
The Role
You’ll oversee guest experience styling, special occasion setups, seasonal activations and presentation standards across the hotel. You’ll also coordinate styling projects, source décor and guest experience items, manage suppliers and support photography, videography and marketing activities.
Working closely with Operations, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Spa, Maintenance, Projects and Marketing, you’ll identify and implement the “last 10%” details that elevate a guest’s stay.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate guest moments including romantic turndowns, welcome amenities, celebrations, proposals and anniversaries
Maintain high visual and presentation standards across guest-facing spaces
Develop fresh styling concepts and guest moments
Coordinate seasonal décor and activations
Conduct regular hotel walkthroughs and identify presentation improvements
Manage styling and guest experience projects from concept to implementation
Source décor, flowers, furnishings and guest experience products
Manage quotations, procurement, suppliers and relevant stock
Style spaces for photography, videography, VIP guests and media visits
Develop practical styling standards, guidelines and checklists
Train and support operational teams on presentation and guest moment standards
Keep up to date with relevant hospitality and lifestyle trends
What We’re Looking For
Grade 12 or equivalent
Relevant qualification in Interior Styling, Interior Decorating, Hospitality, Visual Merchandising, Event Management or a related field preferred
3–5 years’ relevant experience in hospitality, styling, interior decorating, visual merchandising or guest experience
Project coordination experience from concept through to completion
Procurement and supplier management experience
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong creative eye
Strong planning, organisation and communication skills
Commercial awareness and practical problem-solving ability
A genuinely hands-on approach and the ability to work across operational departments
Microsoft Office proficiency
