GUESTHOUSE RECEPTION & HOSPITALITY COORDINATOR

We are looking for a friendly, organized and hands-on hospitality professional to join our team as our new Guesthouse Reception & Hospitality Coordinator.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys working with people, has leadership skills, takes pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience and is comfortable taking responsibility for the smooth running of guesthouse operations.

What you'll be responsible for

• Managing the guesthouse front desk and welcoming guests.
• Handling bookings, enquiries, reservations, check-ins and check-outs.
• Processing guest payments and related administration.
• Responding to guest requests and ensuring a positive experience throughout their stay.
• Assisting with the day-to-day administration and coordination of the guesthouse.
• Supporting the Guesthouse Manager with operational and administrative tasks.
• Acting as the Manager's stand-in when required
• Assisting the Guesthouse Manager with the coordination of small events and functions.
• Liaising with housekeeping, maintenance and other departments to ensure guest requirements are attended to.
• Assisting with other hospitality and administrative duties as required.

What we're looking for

• At least 3-years experience in hospitality, guesthouse, hotel, lodge, reception or a similar environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong administrative and organisational ability.
• Good computer literacy.
• The ability to work independently, take initiative and step up when required.
• A professional, friendly and solution-focused approach.
• The ability to remain calm and organized in a busy environment.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Afrikaans and isiXhosa, with the ability to read, write and communicate confidently in all three languages.

A valid driver's license and previous experience with booking/payment systems will be advantageous.
