Job description

A career in our Human Capital team, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to make a difference at PwC by creating value and improving the way we work.

Our HC Technology team manages all aspects of PwC Africa’s Human Capital technology, including day-to-day support, implementation of new enhancements and applications, and the identification of improvement opportunities. As a Senior People Data Analyst and Reporting Specialist, you will transform workforce data into actionable insights that support the firm’s strategic and operational decisions. You will lead advanced analytics and reporting, develop data-driven tools and dashboards, and act as a trusted adviser by translating evidence into clear recommendations for Human Capital and business leaders.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyse large people related datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, risks and opportunities for business growth and efficiency. Extract insights and recommend appropriate actions for the HC team and business in general through data analysis, visualisation and reporting. Develop and suggest solutions and strategies to business challenges based on people data insights.

Reporting: Design, build, and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports, interactive dashboards and visualization tools to communicate meaningful business insights and conclusions on people metrics. Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for executive-level presentations.

Strategic Workforce Planning Integration: Use the strategic workforce planning outcomes owned by the COO as a key baseline for people analytics and reporting. Integrate agreed workforce priorities, assumptions and scenarios into dashboards, forecasts and insight products; monitor relevant workforce indicators and provide evidence to support HC and business decision-making. Partner with the COO function and relevant stakeholders to maintain alignment between SWP outcomes and ongoing people reporting, without assuming accountability for the strategic workforce planning process.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Partners, various Human Capital teams, business units and other stakeholders to understand people related business problems and define reporting requirements, translating business needs into data driven solutions. Build trusted working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation.

Data Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all data and reports. Promote the use of data standards to enhance data quality, ensure constant compliance and adherence to data governance principles. Drive data efficiency across Africa.

Automation and Optimisation: Identify opportunities to automate routine data processes and people reporting tasks; implement integrated solutions to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort. Assist with improved decision making through data insights. Lead the design and implementation of interactive predictive models and statistical analyses to forecast workforce outcomes.

Project Leadership: Lead or contribute to cross-functional data initiatives.

Documentation: Maintain documentation to support and promote transparency, reusability, reliability and scalability

Compliance and Confidentiality: Adhere to all relevant data privacy, security, and compliance standards, ensuring sensitive information remains secure and confidential.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Analytical Thinking: Demonstrates strong ability to analyze information, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights.

Technical Acumen: Possesses in-depth knowledge of data tools, databases, and reporting software.

Communication: Effectively translates complex data concepts into understandable narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Collaboration: Works effectively across teams and departments, building relationships and fostering a data-driven culture. Ability to interact effectively with people across all levels

Initiative : Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and innovation in data and reporting practices.
