Minimum Requirements
Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
Hospitality or Food & Beverage qualification (advantageous)
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Head Bartender, Senior Bartender, or Bar Supervisor within a 4-star or 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, or high-volume hospitality environment
Excellent knowledge of cocktails, premium spirits, wines, beers, and current beverage trends
Experience using Micros Simphony or similar POS system advantageous
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Excellent guest engagement, sales, and upselling skills
Sound understanding of stock control, beverage costing, ordering, and stock rotation
Knowledge of responsible alcohol service, HACCP, and food safety standards
Ability to train, coach, and develop a high-performing bar team
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Professional grooming and presentation

What You'll Be Doing
Leading the daily operation of the hotel bar while delivering exceptional guest experiences
Preparing and serving premium cocktails, wines, spirits, and beverages to the highest service standards
Leading, coaching, motivating, and developing the bar team
Creating memorable guest interactions through exceptional product knowledge and personalised service
Recommending wines, spirits, cocktails, and premium beverages to enhance the guest experience
Maintaining exceptional bar presentation, cleanliness, and luxury service standards throughout every shift
Assisting with beverage menu development, cocktail innovation, and seasonal promotions
Managing stock levels, ordering, stock counts, beverage costing, and minimising wastage
Ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, HACCP, health and safety, and food safety standards
Working closely with the Restaurant Managers, Food & Beverage leadership, and Kitchen teams to deliver seamless guest experiences
Monitoring bar performance and driving beverage sales through effective upselling and service excellence
Supporting The President Hotel's journey toward luxury through world-class beverage service and outstanding hospitality
