Head of Electronic Security Solutions (ESS) ua

Main Purpose of Position

Responsible for providing strategic direction and ensuring the profitability of the Electronic Security Solutions (ESS) business. This would include the achievement of operational and financial growth, development of organisational capacity and leading and negotiating major bids on optimal commercial/risk terms.

The Head of ESS oversees ongoing business operations within the company including the design, implementation of policies to promote company culture and vision. Design, implement and drive an integrated solutions strategy across the business.

Strategy Development

• Design and implement operational strategies, plans, and procedures to achieve comprehensive performance and growth

• Establish policies that promote company culture and vision

• Management Information to drive the operational objectives

• System & process improvement

Effective management of the divisionś financial performance

• Manage relationship between actual results, budgets and forecasts,

• Manage the effective and efficient usage of company assets, i.e. vehicles, ensuring that all assets are well maintained, accounted for, and utilized correctly to optimize life of the asset.

• Implement and manage cost savings and controls

• Gross Margin Improvement

• Continuously ensure operational excellence that will directly impact on financial performance of the business

Effective Management of technology operation

• Manage and oversee the effective performance of systems operations in the ESS division.

• Oversee and audit operational processes and procedures to ensure the best effect and manage changes where required;

• Enforce the strict sign-off procedure for operational integrity is executing between Sales and operations, at the beginning and end of Projects;

• Liaise with other key functional areas such as Sales, Finance, Logistics and Procurement in order to ensure optimum technology delivery is achieved;

• Monitor and control work flow in Branches and Project teams, through eWorks and R360, ensuring no bottlenecks occur;

• Review procedures quarterly and implement Best Practice through a Lessons Learnt process.

• Measure and monitor adherence to project deadlines and deliverables

Effective Contract and Customer Relationship Management

• Key Account Management to ensure retention of Top 20 customers

• Improve on Customer retention ratios year on year

• Identify customers at risk and implementing corrective actions to remedy and ensuring that the root cause concerns are corrected for the business

• Driving Operational Intelligence

• Consistent delivery of contractual commitments

Compliance and Risk Management

• Health and Safety Improvement and driving a Health and Safety Culture within the Operations and Frontline Teams

• Compliance to legislation and contract requirements, including but not limited to,PSIRA and relevant Technological accreditations compliance

Effective management and development of People

• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth of direct reports

• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication

• Leadership of the G4S National Control Centre for the ESS business

• People Management, including Risk and Consulting including Integra and Investigations

Health and Safety and Contingency

• Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.

• Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks

• Report all safety incidents to the relevant people

• Discuss all safety incidents on all levels

• Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/management

• Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace

Qualification and Experience

• Relevant business qualification with a preference post graduate qualification

• 10 years’ experience in a business and / or operational senior management position

• Experience within a corporate entity or multinational and the relevant reporting in this environment would be advantageous

• Experience within the Security, Technology services environment would be preferred
