We are seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our Leadership Team as Head of Inclusion & Belonging. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about inclusive education, values-driven leadership and ensuring that every boy is empowered to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

Reporting directly to the Headmaster, the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership in embedding a culture of inclusion and belonging throughout the school.
Working collaboratively with staff, learners and families, you will champion practices that enable every boy to thrive while supporting teachers in creating engaging, inclusive learning environments.
Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will teach English, Mathematics and Natural Science and contribute fully to the rich sporting and co-curricular life of the school.
This is a full-time leadership role with a defined teaching component. The successful candidate will be given appropriate capacity to lead the inclusion and belonging portfolio effectively.### Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Relevant Experience
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- A minimum of seven years’ successful teaching experience, preferably within a preparatory school.
- Demonstrated experience leading a school-wide initiative, team or portfolio relating to inclusion, learner support or educational improvement.
- Experience in policy development and implementation.
- Successful classroom teaching experience in English, Mathematics and Natural Science.
- The ability to translate strategy and policy into consistent, practical implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
- A valid Police Clearance and Child Protection Clearance Certificate
Preferred Attributes
- Postgraduate qualifications or specialist training in Inclusive Education or Learner Support, counselling or a related field would be an advantage.
- Experience in a boys’ school or comparable preparatory school environment will be advantageous
- Experience facilitating staff, parent or learner workshops.
- Experience implementing innovative educational practices and leading organisational or cultural change in a school environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the school’s strategic vision for inclusion, belonging and learner support.
- Develop and implement a school-wide Inclusion & Belonging strategy, supported by annual priorities, clear accountability and appropriate measures of progress.
- Develop and review policies that promote best practice in inclusive education.
- Advise the Headmaster and Leadership Team on emerging inclusion, wellbeing and belonging matters, and report periodically on progress and priorities.
- Embed inclusion across academics, sport, culture, discipline, service and school traditions.
- Support teachers in implementing innovative, differentiated and inclusive teaching strategies while maintaining high expectations for every learner.
- Foster meaningful partnerships with parents and communicate sensitively and constructively on learner-support and inclusion matters.
- Use learner, family and staff insights to identify barriers, evaluate interventions and support continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with the Leadership Team to strengthen the school’s culture and strategic direction.
- Participate enthusiastically in the school’s extensive sport and co-curricular programme.
