Head of Order Execution - PCV, Africa

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Order Execution for our PCV division across Africa. This role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end execution of all PCV orders, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction throughout the region.

Responsibilities:

The role carries the responsibility of advancing all purchase orders to cash and includes full operational responsibility of the execution teams.

• The department consists of various teams and functions based in Stormill and Accra, Ghana and requires a large amount of regional and global
• Procurement. Manage the regional procurement responsibilities for the PCV function
• Inventory & Consignment
• Manage the regional inventory and consignment agreements with customers and distributors. Also align with the global SIOP team.
• Service Centres
• Responsible for the overall operational function of the Service Centre in Stormill, Roodepoort and Tema in Accra - Ghana.
• Responsibilities include HSE, quality, production, warehousing, logistics, and all staff related matters.
• Parts Order Management
• Managing the process from order to cash
• • Lead and manage the Order Execution department for PCV in Africa, including setting strategic direction, objectives, and KPIs.
    • Develop and implement standardized processes and best practices for order execution to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve quality.
    • Oversee project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management for all PCV orders.
• Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless information flow and coordinated efforts.
• Monitor and report on project progress, budget adherence, and key performance indicators to senior management.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure successful project delivery and dispute resolution.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within order execution processes and systems.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Prepare and manage budgets for the Order Execution department

We require

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar) or a related technical field. A Management qualification is a plus.

• Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in project management, order execution, or supply chain management within the heavy industrial, mining, or cement industries.

• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex projects and teams across multiple African countries.

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP certification preferred).

• Demonstrated experience with ERP systems (i.e. Dynamics 365) and project management software.

• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented approach.

• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and manage diverse stakeholders.

• Proficiency in English is essential;

• Willingness to travel extensively within Africa.

Travel - Extensive at times, overall >25%
