Role Purpose To lead quantitative modelling, analytics, and research to support financial risk management of shareholder activities across the MMH Group.

Requirements CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and/or FRM (Financial Risk Manager) certification. Honours or Master's degree in a Quantitative discipline. 8 - 10 years of experience in the field.

Duties & Responsibilities Internal Process

• To ensure accuracy and completeness of quantitative output produced by the team to ensure reliable measurement of earning and solvency in terms of the input parameters
• On-going refinement of Market, Credit and Liquidity risk measurement techniques and modelling infrastructure to stay abreast with changes in the Economic/ Regulatory/ Business environment
• Proactively identify, manage, and report risk drivers through proper understanding of the Balance sheet and risks that emanate due to Shareholder activities
• Ensure adequate understanding of Market, Credit and Liquidity risk drivers by stakeholders and the financial implications for the shareholder risks
• To ensure complete risk measurement that influence risk appetite and decision making for the Market, Credit, and Liquidity risk management stakeholders
• Effectively ensure the establishment and maintenance of quantitative analytics infrastructure, including automation to support BSM functions
• Provide accurate, timely and appropriate reports to various management committees to ensure they have a timely and accurate view of MMH’s risk exposure, and the risks attached to that exposure.
• Engage with the Prudential Authority and deliver queries and regulatory requirements from the Prudential authority to maintain internal audit and regulatory compliance
• To stay abreast with Regulatory changes in the Market, Credit and Liquidity risks disciplines including yield curve construction methodologies
• Ensure that Yield curves are constructed in line with approved Yield curve polic.
• To drive the development, testing and implementation of valuation and risk models and pricing methodologies
• Ensure that the financial instruments implemented on in-house systems have been validated by the team
• Effectively drive internal and regulatory stress tests on Market, Credit, and Liquidity risk to inform management and the Regulator of the extent of market risk, credit risk and liquidity risk on Balance Sheet
• To provide research papers to relevant Forums and Stakeholders as to improve the understanding and management of financial risks the organization is exposed to
• To identify any current or potential weaknesses in the financial risk management frameworks and make recommendations for improvement
• Ensure appropriate and valid assumptions are used in models and create awareness about these assumptions
