Requirements

A Relevant B Tech/B Eng/BSc in Civil Engineering
Experience 8 -10 years required (Post First Relevant Tertiary

Qualification)

Registration as Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng)

or Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with ECSA essential

Proficiency in MS Office applications
A Code B (08) driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas

Manage the operation and maintenance of road drainage

infrastructure through providing operational and technical support to

the various RIM regional offices.

Develops, implements and monitors infrastructure asset and

maintenance management systems.

To provide leadership and integrated management for the

effective operations of road drainage infrastructure, ensuring it is

systematically developed, operated and maintained by relevant

stakeholders in alignment with service objectives.

Develops, implements, review and maintains information

management systems to support strategic and tactical planning,

assisting with flood incident management and CCTV inspection data

whilst also enabling performance monitoring and reporting.

Formulating and reviewing annual tenders in line with City’s

procurement processes Manage section staff establishment.

Manage, develop and/or implement multiple high risk, complex

projects or minor to medium sized programmes.

Manage and administer all financial affairs and assets ensuring full

legal compliance.
