Requirements

• BEng / BSc Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)

as Professional Engineer (PrEng).

• Eight (8) years’ experience including planning, wastewater

treatment process / wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) designs,

process simulations, WWTP debottlenecking / optimisation as well

as exposure to project / contract management of WWTP

construction projects.

• Formal training at postgraduate level in wastewater treatment

process design & modelling advantageous.

• Valid EB (08) Driver’s Licence.

Key Performance Areas

• Strategic planning of wastewater treatment plant (WWTP)

infrastructure keeping with service delivery requirements.

• Project Management and Process design, direct and control

outcomes associated with engineering designs of the Wastewater

Treatment Plants (WWTP).

• Performance and financial modelling to identify and define the

short, medium and long-term objectives relating to Wastewater

Treatment Infrastructure and Sector / Master Plans.

• Provide a specialist wastewater treatment design advisory and

project engineering support service to the Wastewater Branch.

• Direct and control the professional, technical and operational

outcomes associated with the functions related to WWTW and

disseminates functional information for short, long and current

developments, problems and constraints.
