Job description
We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join our team at one of our sites in Secunda.
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' Health & Safety experience in a petrochemical, industrial, mining or similar environment.
- HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) training is mandatory.
- Valid driver's licence and driving experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct HIRA and workplace risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses.
- Drive SHE compliance with legal, company and client requirements.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits and toolbox talks.
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Sasol SHE standards.
- Compile SHE reports and implement corrective actions.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of OHS legislation.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Attention to detail with a proactive approach to safety.
- Ability to work independently and influence a positive safety culture.
Pay: R9 618,54 - R15 000,00 per month
