About the Role

Eve Consolidated (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our Cooking Oil Refinery Project. The successful candidate will ensure legal compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation while promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Develop and implement safety procedures and policies. Investigate incidents and compile reports. Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions. Monitor contractor compliance. Maintain health and safety documentation and records. Coordinate emergency preparedness and safety drills. Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Promote continuous improvement in workplace safety.

Requirements

National Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. SAMTRAC, NEBOSH or equivalent qualification will be advantageous. SACPCMP registration is advantageous. Minimum 3 years' experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction or industrial environments. Excellent knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Strong communication, report writing and organisational skills. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
