Job description
Cox develops and applies technologies to generate electricity from the sun, working to limit climate change and to develop local communities using mostly concentrating solar thermal (Tower and Trough).
Cox is a world leader in both technological and installed capacity in solar thermal technology. Its offer in this field includes technological advice, engineering services, EPC, consulting, component development (solar field) or O&M services.
Cox South Africa is looking for a Health & Safety Manager .
Main Responsabilities :
- Set up HSE plan for project
- Implement the necessary systems that supports the HSE Management system
- Co-ordinate the implementation of the HSE Management System on site
- Plan and conduct Internal audits sub-contractors
- Ensuring the daily operation of the HSE department on site is under control
- Advise SHEQ manager on HSE related issues
- Highlight any areas of business risk management for corrective actions
- Communicate with clients and suppliers
- Support and advise Construction and Project Managers
- Ensure that monthly reports and stats are submitted
- Facilitate staff development and training in line with required outputs
- Conduct Incident Investigations
Qualifications :
- Project or construction Management certificate
- N3 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Certificate (will be an advantage)
- Construction Regulations
- HVO Authorization
- OHS Act
- Legal Liability & HIRA
- Very strong experience in photovoltaic and EPC projects.
- Solid expertise in electrical risks, LOTO, and commissioning activities.
- Proven experience in contractor management on site.
