Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Site Inspections: Walk the construction site daily to find unsafe acts, broken equipment, or blocked exits.
- Risk Management: Run risk assessments and create safety plans for high-risk jobs like working at heights.
- Training and Talks: Lead daily safety briefings (toolbox talks) and train new workers on safety gear and emergency rules.
- Incident Investigation: Look into accidents or near-misses to find the root cause and stop them from happening again.
- Regulatory Compliance: Keep logs, inspection records, and safety files up to date to meet national laws. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
Requirements and Skills
- Knowledge of Laws: Deep understanding of local occupational health and safety acts and construction regulations.
- Communication: Clear speaking and writing skills to guide workers and report to managers.
