Health & Skincare Therapist & Back-up Receptionist – Full-Time / Part-Time

The Spa @ Clos Malverne is looking for a professional, friendly, reliable and passionate Health & Skincare Therapist & Back-up Receptionist to join our team in Stellenbosch.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional spa and skincare treatments to a high standard, while also assisting with reception and general spa duties when required.

ABOUT THE SPA

The Spa @ Clos Malverne is a beautiful day spa with three treatment rooms, including two double treatment rooms and one single treatment room. The spa also has a wet room with a shower, steam room and spa bath, an outdoor spa deck and a large swimming pool. A restaurant and accommodation are available on the premises.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform professional spa and skincare treatments to a high standard
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and tidy spa environment
• Work well as part of a professional team
• Assist with reception and general administrative duties when required
• Manage bookings and assist with cash-ups
• Assist clients professionally and courteously at reception
• Maintain a professional, friendly and well-groomed appearance
• Recommend suitable treatments and retail products to clients

REQUIREMENTS

• Recognised Health & Skincare / Somatology qualification
• Minimum one year of full-time study with a recognised certificate/qualification
• International qualifications will be an advantage
• One year or more of experience will be an advantage, but is not essential
• Friendly, professional, well-groomed and reliable
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Own reliable transport is essential
• Preference may be given to candidates living in Stellenbosch or surrounding areas

SALARY & COMMISSION

• Basic salary: R6,000 per month
• 25% commission on treatments
• 10% commission on retail sales

WORKING HOURS

• 5 days per week
• Spa trading hours: Monday to Saturday, 09:00–18:00
• Closed on Sundays
• Days off are usually Sunday and Monday, although Monday may occasionally be swapped for another weekday

EMPLOYMENT TYPE

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

START DATE

November 2026 – April 2027, with the possibility of an earlier or immediate start.
