Healthcare Manager Burgundy Retirement Village

Medwell SA, provides comprehensive healthcare services across South Africa, specialising in home nursing, elderly care, palliative care, frail care, and assisted living solutions.

We are looking to employ a Healthcare Manager to manage & coordinate the overall holistic healthcare and wellness of the residents of Burgundy Retirement Village in line with the Service Level Agreement and to ensure compliance with relevant local and national legislation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and manage all services within the retirement estate.
• Coordinate, implement, and oversee home-based care services.
• Promote and support residents' social wellbeing.
• Manage and supervise the primary healthcare clinic.
• Conduct clinical assessments for prospective residents and clients.
• Perform annual resident health assessments.
• Assist with medication administration when required.
• Initiate and manage home nursing services.
• Liaise with residents and family members as part of care management.
• Prepare service quotations and facilitate client contracts.
• mplement care services and supervise care workers/Enrolled Nursing Assistants.
• repare and present monthly reports, statistics, and presentations.
• Manage, supervise, schedule, and evaluate nursing staff performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, OHS requirements, and clinical standards.
• Manage procurement, control, and inventory of medication, medical supplies, and general stock.
• Conduct regular inspections, infection control measures, and patient file audits. Investigate, resolve, and report complaints and queries.
• Liaise with the Estate Manager/Body Corporate and attend management meetings.
• Assist with resident education and information sessions.

MINIIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Registered Nurse with previous experience in Primary Health Care & Home Based Care (beneficial).
• Minimum three years' experience in a managerial position in the healthcare industry.
• Knowledge and practical experience of the professional requirements and procedures required as stipulated in the Scope of Practice of the South African Nursing Council.

Pay: R40 000,00 - R43 000,00 per month
