Healthcare Manager_Clara Ana Fontein

Medwell SA, provides comprehensive healthcare services across South Africa, specialising in home nursing, elderly care, palliative care, frail care, and assisted living solutions.

We are looking to employ a Healthcare Manager to manage & coordinate the overall holistic healthcare and wellness of the residents of Clara Ana Fontein Estate in line with the Service Level Agreement and to ensure compliance with relevant local and national legislation.

KEY REPSONSIBILITIES:

• Co-ordination and control of all services offered in the retirement estate.
• Co-ordination, control and implementation of home based care services.
• Manage and supervise the Primary Healthcare clinic.
• Perform clinical assessments of prospective care unit and village residents.
• Annual assessments of residents in clinic and at home (only on exception, where required due to mobility impairment).
• Perform role of Care Management to liaise with family members/residents.
• Perform Clinical assessments of prospective clients
• Compile and provide quotations for services.
• Facilitate the contracting process between the company and the client.
• Prepare and present monthly reports and statistics and presentation thereof as requested.
• Management and performance evaluation of Medwell staff working in the estate in collaboration with the Human Re sources department and Facilities Nursing Manager and/or Nursing Service Manager.
• Control over the procurement of general stock.
• Quality control of nursing care delivered by all nursing in respect of home based care and primary healthcare, in collab oration with the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Oversee active aging programmes.
• Liaise with Body Corporate/Estate Manager as and when needed and attend daily and monthly meetings

• Comfortable with all nursing procedures, including Intravenous Therapy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Registered Nurse with previous experience in Primary Health Care & Home Based Care (beneficial).
• Minimum three years' experience in a managerial position in the healthcare industry.
• Knowledge and practical experience of the professional requirements and procedures required as stipulated in the Scope of Practice of the South African Nursing Council.
• Familiar with the Older Persons Act
