Where You'll Make an Impact

• :Develop and oversee high school academic work plans focusing on English and non-STEM subjects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• .Research, map, and enhance the school-based academic ecosystem, integrating external and online programmes that meet scholar needs
• .Design targeted interventions, including tutoring, online initiatives, and external opportunities to boost scholar performance
• .Lead the planning and implementation of non-STEM academic support for Grade 7 preparatory programmes
• .Develop assessment methodologies and tools for English and other subjects, supporting data-driven curriculum improvements
• .Facilitate workshops, assessments, and orientation programmes to ensure smooth scholar transitions and academic preparedness
• .Build and maintain strong relationships with school partners, including principals, academic heads, and support staff
• .Monitor and evaluate all non-STEM academic interventions, providing oversight and strategic adjustments

.Duties

• :Collaborate on content and sessions for high school transition and academic support
• .Lead the development and marking of English assessments for Grade 6 applicants
• .Contribute to the selection process for potential scholars
• .Manage relationships with school-based and external programme partners
• .Provide continuous support and feedback to improve curriculum and intervention strategies

.Requirements

• :Relevant postgraduate qualification in Education or a related field, preferably with a specialization in English
• .A minimum of 5 years of high school English teaching experience
• .Proven experience designing and implementing academic interventions and assessment methodologies
• .Deep understanding of the South African educational system and socio-cultural diversity
• .Multilingual abilities in Xhosa and Afrikaans are advantageous
• .Strong stakeholder management, reporting, and documentation skills
