Job description
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 12:00
School Holiday Hours: TBC – Same salary will be paid year round A family is looking for an QUALIFIED TEACHER for their son
Area: Ennerdale, Johannesburg South
Children's Ages: 8 year old – Boy
Child’s Neurodivergence Snapshot: No formal neurodiverse needs however he does however work at a slow pace and struggles with comprehension.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 12:00
School Holiday Hours: TBC – Same salary will be paid year round
Duties: Provide structured homeschooling support, covering all required subjects with a particular focus on reading, writing, spelling, Mathematics and comprehension. Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate lessons while adapting the teaching approach and pace to accommodate his slower working pace and comprehension difficulties. Break concepts down into manageable steps, provide repetition, reinforcement and additional explanations where needed, and regularly monitor his understanding and academic progress. Assist with schoolwork, assessments, projects and revision while creating a calm, patient and encouraging learning environment. Communicate with the parents regarding his progress and any areas requiring additional support, while encouraging his confidence, independence and overall development.
Special Requirements: Qualified Teacher
Curriculum: CAPS
Start Date & Contract Term: January 2027 – permanent
Salary: R10 000pm (Gross, before deductions)
All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:
**** Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
****Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
****Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
****Must have a clear criminal record
****Must have a passion for children
****Must have Matric
****Must have a South African ID document.
