1. ROLE PURPOSE
Charles Hope SA is looking for a hands-on Hospitality Recruiter to manage the end-to-end recruitment function across Charles Hope Apartments, Noah Restaurant and Shared Services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, attracting and recruiting hospitality talent across all operational levels, ensuring our hotel and restaurant teams are appropriately staffed to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
This role requires someone who understands the fast-paced nature of hospitality, can recruit for both operational and management positions, and is comfortable working closely with department managers to meet staffing requirements.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hospitality Recruitment
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle across the hotel, restaurant and shared services operations.
- Recruit across Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Reservations, Night Reception, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Supervisory and Management positions.
- Develop effective sourcing strategies to attract experienced hospitality candidates.
- Advertise vacancies through job boards, social media, hospitality networks and other relevant platforms.
- Build and maintain talent pools for frequently recruited operational positions.
- Screen applications, conduct initial interviews and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
- Assess candidates based on hospitality experience, customer service ability, technical skills and suitability for the role.
- Manage candidate communication, references, feedback and offer coordination.
Operational & Management Support
- Work closely with hotel and restaurant management to understand operational staffing requirements.
- Prioritise urgent vacancies to minimise staffing shortages and operational disruption.
- Support recruitment for both high-volume operational roles and specialist management appointments.
- Understand the requirements of shift-based hospitality environments, including weekend and public holiday operations.
- Provide recruitment guidance to managers and ensure timely interview feedback and selection decisions.
- Ensure recruitment is aligned with approved headcount and salary structures.
Recruitment Administration & Reporting
- Maintain an accurate recruitment tracker covering all approved vacancies.
- Monitor recruitment timelines, candidate pipelines and recruitment progress.
- Provide weekly recruitment updates to the HR Manager.
- Maintain confidential candidate records and recruitment documentation.
- Ensure recruitment practices comply with POPIA, company policies and applicable employment legislation.
- Coordinate successful candidate handovers to HR Administration for onboarding.
Candidate Experience & Employer Branding
- Represent Charles Hope and Noah professionally throughout the recruitment process.
- Promote the company as an employer of choice within the hospitality industry.
- Build relationships with hospitality training institutions, recruitment networks and industry contacts.
- Ensure candidates receive timely communication and feedback.
- Support recruitment marketing and employer branding initiatives.
3. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Matric required; HR, Recruitment or Hospitality qualification advantageous.
- Minimum 5–6 years' recruitment experience.
- Previous experience recruiting within hotels, restaurants, serviced apartments or the broader hospitality industry is highly advantageous.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment.
- Experience recruiting operational, supervisory and management positions.
- Familiarity with recruitment platforms, job boards and candidate databases.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

6. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The Recruiter reports directly to the HR Manager and works closely with the HR Administrator, Hotel Management, Noah Restaurant Management, Department Managers and relevant Group stakeholders.
The Recruiter owns the recruitment process through to successful appointment, working alongside HR Administration for contracts, onboarding and employee documentation.
All new positions, remuneration packages and employment offers remain subject to the appropriate management and HR approvals.
