- Do daily bed checks to confirm vacant rooms, outstanding payments, and report housekeeping and maintenance issues
- Complete the daily cash up
- Assist guests with questions, complaints and requests
- Supervise that the maintenance issues are solved by ensuring the maintenance list is completed
- Administrate the petty cash
- Inspect that the hotel’s PMS is working correctly and report any glitches
- Supervise the performance of the receptionists
- Assist the GM in administrative tasks (invoices, accounting, reports, etc.)
- Check-in and check-out guests
- Check that all the departures have left the property
- Give quotations and make bookings over the phone, at reception or via email
- Take card and cash payments. Give the hotel banking details for EFTs.
- Organize keys, prepare indemnity forms and any paperwork required
- Keep reception organized and clean
- Make beds after the housekeeping team has departed
