Hotel Sales Executive

Join the Marketing and Sales team at Village n Life and help grow one of South Africa's leading hospitality portfolios through strong trade relationships and commercial success.

The Role

The Hotel Account Executive is responsible for driving occupancy and revenue by managing a portfolio of travel trade accounts. You'll strengthen existing partnerships, secure new business and position Village n Life as a preferred hospitality partner through regular engagement, product training and commercially focused account management.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, wholesalers and key trade partners.

Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.

Identify and convert new business opportunities.

Conduct sales calls, product presentations, training sessions, site inspections and familiarisation trips.

Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms and support contracting.

Maintain accurate CRM records, trade agreements and sales activity.

Keep trade partners informed of promotions, renovations and new developments.

Work closely with Marketing on trade campaigns, mailers and promotional material.

Represent Village n Life at trade shows, networking events and industry functions.

Maintain accurate property information across trade platforms, including WETU.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity and account performance to identify growth opportunities.

Prepare sales, revenue and performance reports.

Resolve trade-related queries and support operational activities when required.

What We're Looking For

A minimum of two years' experience within the hotel industry.

Business-to-business sales or account management experience.

Grade 12 or equivalent.

A qualification in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related field is advantageous.

Strong sales, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Opera and CRM experience are advantageous.

Knowledge of the South African tourism market.

Knowledge of the golf and/or wellness industries is advantageous.

A valid driver's licence and your own reliable, roadworthy vehicle.
