About the Role

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Hotel Security Officer to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property within a hotel environment. You will play a vital part in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while effectively managing safety protocols and addressing any security concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and patrol the hotel premises to detect and prevent any suspicious activities or potential security breaches.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
  • Conduct regular inspections of security equipment and systems, ensuring they are functioning correctly at all times.
  • Implement and enforce hotel policies and emergency procedures to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with questions and providing information about hotel services.
  • Collaborate with hotel management and staff to provide security briefings and training sessions.
  • Document incidents, report any irregularities, and maintain detailed records of all activities.
  • Assist in the investigation of reported incidents and provide support in creating a safer hotel environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a security role, preferably within the hospitality industry or a similar environment.
  • Presentable appearance and Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with guests and staff.
  • Valid Psira certificate
  • Familiarity with security systems, surveillance equipment, and safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or lead security role is an advantage.
  • Additional certifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, or Crisis Management would be beneficial.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and in multicultural environments.
