Couple Wanted – Housekeeping & Maintenance – Live-In Position – Cederberg Mountains

Bliss & Stars is a small, off-grid guest farm in the Cederberg Mountains, Western Cape, with six private chalets hosting up to ten guests at a time. We are looking for a couple to live and work on the property, helping us keep it running smoothly.

The job:

Housekeeping:

Prepare chalets for arriving guests – fresh linen, towels, and supplies, final clean and check
Daily servicing of the six chalets (morning and evening)
Keep kitchen, dining room, and shared guest areas clean and tidy
Laundry, ironing, and folding of linen and guest laundry, handled with care

Maintenance:

General repairs around chalets and buildings, reporting bigger issues early
Help maintain solar power, water, gas, and pump systems (training provided)
Keep gardens, paths, and decks neat and well maintained
General outdoor upkeep of the property

Flexibility and teamwork is key.

We need:

Experience in cleaning, laundry, or housekeeping (essential)
Experience with basic repairs, gardening, or general maintenance
Honest, hardworking, and reliable, self-driven
A couple who work well together and can also work independently
Comfortable living in a quiet, remote setting far from town
Physically fit and able to manage the demands of the work
Contactable references from previous employers
Valid driver's licence an advantage, as the farm is far from town

We offer:

Free accommodation on the farm
R7,000 – R10,000 per person per month, depending on experience
Food allowance
Travel allowance
6-day work week with 1 day off per week
50 days paid leave per year

Pay: R7 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month
