Housekeeping

Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable, organised and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our short-term rental property management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining properties to a consistently high standard, ensuring that every guest arrives at a clean, comfortable and welcoming home.

This role requires excellent communication, strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare short-term rental properties before guest arrivals.
• Complete detailed departure, turnaround and deep cleans.
• Make beds and ensure all linen and towels are presented according to company standards.
• Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas and outdoor spaces.
• Restock guest amenities, toiletries and household supplies.
• Check properties for damages, missing items and maintenance concerns.
• Report any damages, maintenance issues or low stock promptly to the relevant team.
• Follow property-specific cleaning checklists and instructions.
• Ensure properties are completed and ready before the scheduled guest check-in time.
• Assist with linen management, laundry and stock control when required.
• Handle guests’ belongings and property contents carefully and respectfully.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, property managers and other team members.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation and professionalism at all times.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric certificate is essential.
• Previous housekeeping, hospitality, hotel or short-term rental experience is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual and able to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions, checklists and company procedures.
• Physically able to complete housekeeping duties, including standing, bending and lifting during shifts.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Access to reliable transport is advantageous.
