The puporse of the Houskeeping Supervisor is to support the Executive Housekeeper by supervising daily operations and ensuring consistent service delivery.This role is ideal for a hands-on hospitality professional with a strong eye for detail, a passion for service excellence, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a housekeeping supervisory role
- Lodge or safari lodge experience highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of housekeeping standards and procedures
- Good communication skills (English essential)
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Comfortable working in a remote lodge environment
- Exceptional attention to detail – understands luxury lodge standards
- Strong leadership skills – confident supervising and motivating a diverse team
- Hands-on and proactive – leads by example on the floor
- Reliable, honest, and organised
- Calm under pressure during busy changeovers
- Guest-focused mindset with pride in presentation
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms and public areas
- Ensure rooms are prepared to lodge standards for arrivals and turn-downs
- Conduct thorough room inspections and quality checks
- Manage linen, cleaning supplies, and stock control
- Train, guide, and support housekeeping staff
- Prepare duty rosters and manage staff attendance
- Work closely with front office and maintenance teams
- Ensure health, hygiene, and safety standards are consistently met
- Handle lost & found procedures professionally
