Job description
Urban Oasis is a 32-room aparthotel in the Cape Town CBD. We're looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a team of 7 housekeeping staff and make sure every room meets a consistent, high standard for guests.
What you'll do
- Supervise and schedule the daily work of a team of 7 housekeeping staff
- Inspect rooms and public areas before guest check-in to confirm cleanliness and presentation standards
- Manage linen, amenities, and cleaning supply stock — including stock takes and reordering
- Train new housekeeping staff and maintain service standards across the team
- Coordinate with front desk and maintenance on room status, turnovers, and repairs
- Handle lost property and guest requests related to housekeeping
- Report on staffing needs, supply usage, and any maintenance issues to management
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in housekeeping, ideally with supervisory or team-lead experience
- Strong attention to detail and pride in high standards
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Comfortable with basic stock control and reporting
- Reliable, hands-on, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends
