HP Supervisor

They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. The Supervisor should also be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs of delivery.

The ultimate goal is to ensure that the cleaning services and processes deliver results of maximum quality in a profitable manner.

As the Team Supervisor, you need to possess the skills to use tools and operate HP machinery. Have the physical strength to lift and move heavy equipment and be in a position to supervisor and guide a team of operators.

Objectives and Responsibilities; includes but is not limited to:

· Complying with OHS and regulations

· Work with tools and machinery as and when needed

· Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to general workers and operators

· Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules of work for each team member

· Oversee and coach general workers and operators to ensure successful completion of projects

· Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance of said equipment

· Check cleaning outputs according to specifications and SOP’s

· Submit reports on performance and progress of projects

· Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements

· Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures

· Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards in all work undertaken

Task and Responsibilities:

· The Supervisors duties and the core function that he/she shall fulfil is to ensure execution of all the requirements imposed by the legislation, for the above work(s) area, is done in accordance with the requirements of the abovementioned Regulations to the Act, and without derogating from these duties and will perform the following tasks and responsibilities (but are not limited to):

• Assist management to enforce the observance of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its Regulations and all other applicable legislation in the workplace (A copy of the OHS Act is available at the Company offices);
• Responsible for supervising safe performance of all project work as allocated from time-to-time and within client specifications;
• Ensures that all project plans and work specifications are completed by a certain time and within the required quality standards and within budget
• Stop the working of any machine, which is in a dangerous condition;
• Instruct all personnel in the use of tools and equipment and inform them of the hazards of their work and workplace;
• Presenting of written proof that all workers have undergone formal training regarding hazards associated with their jobs and the precautionary measures that should be taken;
• Ensure that all safety guards and equipment are maintained in good condition;
• Ensure that all general workers and machine operators under your control and in your teams, adhere to the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
• Ensure rectification of any deviations from the required standards;
• To follow up all recommendations made towards Safety, Health & Environment and to ensure implementations thereof where possible;
• Ensure that all injuries or other incidents are reported and investigated in terms of the applicable legislation and Company SHE standards;
• Ensure that all scaffolding used by your section complies with the required legislation and standards and is inspected before use;
• Ensure that a planned maintenance programme for such machinery is in place and implemented;
• Ensure that daily specific job instructions, checklists, toolbox talks and completion of all other applicable records in these respects are to be maintained;
• Ensure that hand tools inspections are conducted on a required basis. (pre and post inspections)
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers
• Ensure that all Company information is confidential and no copies of any documentation may be made or distributed, unless for Company purposes;
• Conduct pre-task risk assessment evaluations and diligently the identification of hazards done at work areas.
• These are the key tasks as currently defined. Please note you are not limited to these defined tasks and may vary within your work scope from time to time. Other such duties as may be required from time to time.

Minimum Requirements

· Matric/Grade 12

· 3 Years minimum experience as a Supervisor or Senior Operator is preferred

· Competent in the use of various hand & mechanical tools

· Proven experience as Production/Site Supervisor or similar role

· Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage

· Well-spoken in English – Afrikaans, other languages an advantage

Pay: R10 000,00 - R16 000,00 per month
