SUMMARY: A large-scale, all-inclusive safari lodge set on an expansive Big Five private game reserve in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking an organised and detail-driven HR ADMINISTRATOR to join their team
POSITION INFO: Given the scale of this operation, with a substantial staff complement across multiple departments, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure, keeps records airtight, and can support a busy HR function in a remote lodge setting. Core Criteria: Grade 12 essential, a diploma or qualification in Human Resources advantageous Previous HR administration experience within a hospitality, lodge, or hotel environment preferred Working knowledge of South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA) Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word Experience with payroll support and leave administration Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally Good communication skills, both written and verbal Comfortable working in a remote, live-in lodge environment Core Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files and HR records Assist with recruitment administration, including advertising, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new staff Support payroll processing by collating attendance, leave, and overtime information Manage leave records and ensure accurate tracking across departments Coordinate training schedules and maintain training records Assist with drafting employment contracts, letters, and HR correspondence Support disciplinary and grievance processes with accurate documentation Liaise with department heads on staffing and HR-related queries Assist with staff welfare administration, including accommodation and transport coordination for live-in staff Ensure compliance with relevant labour legislation and internal HR policies Provide general administrative support to the HR department
