Job description
One of our clients located in Stellenbosch, Cape Town is looking for an experienced and hands-on HR & Payroll Generalist to join their HR team.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive HR and payroll support across the client, ensuring effective employee administration, recruitment, employee relations, payroll processing, statutory compliance, employee engagement and HR reporting. The role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers and supports the Head of HR in delivering the client's people
Reports to: Head of Human Resources (HR) and Finance Manager (Payroll)
Qualification & Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Management or a related field.
- Payroll qualification or relevant payroll training will be advantageous.
- 3–5 years' experience in a generalist HR role with payroll responsibility.
- Experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management and HR administration.
- Sound working knowledge of South African labour legislation, BCEA, PAYE, UIF and COIDA.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with SAGE 300/Pastel Evolution and ESS will be advantageous. Experience in a hospitality or service environment will be advantageous. Preferably Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) qualification.

Be open (and positive!) to work on site every day
Have SAGE300 experience
