Purpose of Role:
Stefanutti Stocks Western Cape is looking for a HR (Training) Clerk to join our team. Applicants should have appropriate experience with a medium to large construction company. Candidates will be required to co-ordinate, support and administer general HR functions, and coordinate and administer the end-to-end employee training and development process — ensuring training requests, scheduling, providers, procurement, records, systems, compliance and reporting are managed accurately, efficiently and within required timeframes to internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate should be discreet, approachable, fair and have good communication skills. The best candidates will be deadline-driven, with the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and process employee training requests in collaboration with the internal training centre from initiation through to completion.
- Liaise with training centre, employees, management, training providers, Procurement and Finance to coordinate training activities.
- For training across multiple sites, obtain quotations, confirm training dates, venues and delegates, and coordinate purchase orders and invoices.
- Schedule training and communicate arrangements and requirements to delegates and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate training records, certificates, registers and electronic documentation.
- Capture and update training information on S@S and other relevant systems.
- Maintain and monitor the organisational Training Matrix, including mandatory training and expiry dates.
- Prepare training reports and provide accurate information for management, Skills Development, B-BBEE and audit requirements.
- Monitor training compliance and ensure records remain accurate and audit-ready.
- Identify training administration gaps and recommend improvements to streamline processes and reduce duplication.
- Assist Regional HR Manager with the preparation of the annual Workplace Skills Plan.
- Provide general HR/Learning & Development administrative support as required.
Skills, Experience and Education:
- Diploma/Degree in Human Resources, Human Resource Development, Learning & Development, Industrial Psychology
- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in training administration, learning & development, or training coordination in the construction, engineering and/or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with HR/training systems particularly SAGE, procurement and document management beneficial.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organisational, communication, planning and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
